The people who followed along in their own language, and what they told us afterwards.
Passed on by the host, Detlef Schmidtke, after the weekend at Vineyard Speyer, Oct 2026.
“We had a great conference with between 300 and 400 participants, with several speakers on stage in German and English (New Zealand) and guests from various nations like Romania, Moldova, Albania, Iran/Persia, France, Latvia and more. Everyone was very excited to have this opportunity to follow the talks in their mother-language.”

“My wife was especially excited: she is born in Paraguay/South America and found her native language ‘Guarani’ (Avañeʼẽ) … ! Not spoken yet, but at least the readable translation available.”
“Especially exciting: the ‘smart hints’! We had speakers who used many typical German idioms which can not be easily translated. So those hints were very helpful, and our foreign listeners felt much more part of the community when funny idioms made the German laugh …”
“Also surprisingly good: one of the teachers frequently used ‘the bible says …’ and then citing parts of a verse and MulingAI [MulingStream] immediately found usually correct the referring quote (psalm, letter, …)”
“Everyone was very happy about the intuitive use of the online app …”
Written to us by Henrik Andersen, from a Sunday service at Bibel og Missionscentret.
“A Russian speaking woman was overwhelmed with joy, because for this first time in the four years she has been in the church she truly understood the preaching.”

Two groups who did not speak Danish, both passed on to us by their pastor.
“We have heard from some Dutch visitors that they were really glad they could get the translation in Dutch, because it was not something they were used to being able to get.”
Lead pastor, Åbenkirke Odense
His own words, in Danish:
Vi har hørt fra nogle hollandske besøgende, at de var rigtig glade for at kunne få oversættelsen på hollandsk, da det ikke var noget, de var vant til at kunne få.
“We have had really good reviews from some French speaking users over the summer, who were impressed by the translation’s ability to even explain Danish wordplay and sayings.”
Lead pastor, Åbenkirke Odense
His own words, in Danish:
Vi har haft rigtigt gode anmeldelser fra nogle fransktalende brugere henover sommeren, som var imponeret over oversættelsens evne til endda at forklare danske ordspil og talemåder.
“It was impressive to have a translation that could even follow sayings and Danish expressions that could not be translated directly, because then it came as an explanatory text box [Smart Hints], so you understood everything that was going on anyway.”
Lead pastor, Åbenkirke Odense
His own words, in Danish:
Det var imponerende med en oversættelse, som endda kunne følge talemåder og danske udtryk, som ikke kunne direkte oversættes, for så kom det som en forklarende tekstboks, så man alligevel forstod alt der foregik.
Carrying the words across is the ordinary part. Carrying what the words were doing is not, and that is the part a congregation notices.
Written by the church chairman at the end of their first season, unprompted, when we asked how it had gone.
“We have had it in use practically every Sunday, though our usage is not that large. Right now we have a young man who fled from Ukraine and comes on Sundays. His English is not that strong, so it is fantastic to be able to give him the chance to follow along in Ukrainian. Even though it is only him, we currently offer Ukrainian and English.”
Chairman, Din Frikirke, Haderslev
His own words, in Danish:
Vi har haft det i brug stort set alle søndage, men vores forbrug er ikke så stort. Vi har pt. en ung fyr som er flygtet fra Ukraine som deltager om søndagen. Hans engelsk er ikke så stærkt, så det er fantastisk at kunne give ham muligheden for at være med på ukrainsk! Selvom det kun er ham, så tilbyder vi derfor i øjeblikket ukrainsk og engelsk.
He follows the text on his own phone, and the chairman adds that he is very grateful. Not the Sundays when everyone understands, but the one person who does not: that is what it is for.
Said in conversation during the week at TRO og LIV. No names, because nobody was asked for one.
Two words came up again and again across the week, from people we did not ask: accurate, and fast. More than one person used the word perfect.

Several of them had used other live translation apps before, and said without being asked that this was noticeably better on both counts.
